Thomas R. Hislop
Thomas R. Hislop is a member of our Board of Directors. Mr. Hislop is a Managing Director at Wedbush Morgan Securities and served as the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Peacock, Hislop, Staley & Given, Inc. (“PHS&G”), a full service brokerage firm, from the time of its formation in 1989 through its acquisition by Wedbush Morgan Securities in September 2008. PHS&G formed Arizona Land Investment Corporation, the predecessor to Pacific Office Properties Trust, Inc., in 1989. Mr. Hislop served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Arizona Land Income Corporation from 1989 through its reincorporation as Pacific Office Properties Trust, Inc. in 2008.
From 1967 to 1989, Mr. Hislop served as Senior Vice President responsible for the municipal trading department at Young, Smith & Peacock. Upon the demise of Young, Smith & Peacock, Mr. Hislop co-founded PHS&G and has served as its Chief Executive Officer since its inception. Mr. Hislop is a licensed mortgage broker and has been involved in numerous real estate lending transactions. He has served as principal underwriter for PHS&G on more than $6 billion of municipal bonds.
Mr. Hislop graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. degree in finance in 1972. He has served on the Arizona State University Alumni Association Real Estate Committee and is a past president of the Phoenix Stock & Bond Club. Mr. Hislop has also served as Chairman of the District Three Conduct Committee of the National Association of Securities Dealers.
